Why use BubbleEx

BubbleEx is a simple tool for removing small bubbles under sandblasted photo film applied to a product. The individual brush wires create microscopic holes in the stencil that allow trapped air to escape from the film, but at the same time do not destroy the stencil.

A light swipe of BubbleEx over the applied stencil does not affect the sandblasting of the product. The holes created are so small that they do not allow the abrasive to pass through. The masks adheres beautifully to the product throughout its entire surface.

Perfect adhesion of the masks is particularly necessary at the interface between the blue emulsion (mask) and the washed surfaces, where there is a risk of the masks being blown out during sandblasting.

Furthermore, BubbleEx disrupts the microfoliation of the photoresist fim, thus accelerating its removal. This is advantageous when sandblasting larger areas, where the microfilm is quickly blown away over its entire surface area, thus easily achieving a uniform sandblasted surface without unwanted errors caused by microfilm particles adhering to the product.

We supply two types of brushes

  1. With 0.15 mm diameter wires – suitable for larger areas of microfoil, allows “rougher handling”.
  2. With 0.10 mm diameter wire – for fine work with really detailed stencils.
