I come from the town Svetla nad Sazavou, where many glass companies are located. For example, the world-renowned glass factory Crystalite Bohemia, formerly known as Sklo Bohemia or Bohemia Crystal and the historical glass factory Caesar Crystal, where is cased crystal still produced in the classical way.
I graduated on the High School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Zelezny Brod, Glass Technology specialization and continued my study at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, department of Inorganic non-metallic materials. I successfully graduated with a diploma thesis focused on the bubble motion simulation in an electric glass furnace.
After graduation I worked as a glass technologist at the famous Moser glassworks in Karlovy Vary. I went to England to a language course in 2009 and after my return I worked at the Vitrablog Glassworks in Duchcov, where glass blocks are produced. From 2010 to 2015, I was responsible for Sales department at the glass factory Crystal Glamor in Okroulice, (known before as Glass-Rubs) producing hand blown and hand cut lead crystal with contain of 24% PbO.
In February 2015, I decided to set up my own company, Kotara s.r.o., which deals with glass trading, import sandblasting photomask films, production of paperweights with pictures sealed inside and custom glassware production.
